My everyday skincare

27/9/19

I've never ever been a skincare person. I'm more drawn to make up and all the glitters because that's what you can actually see when you apply it on your face but since February I tried to start taking care of my skin a bit more. I mean, we all know that a good skincare routine is important but can we be bothered? If it's in the morning we're usually rushing to work and in the evening we're too tired and the first thing we reach for is a makeup wipe.
I used to apply the tiniest bit of moisturiser because I'm not a fan of feeling like I have something sitting on my face but now I try my best to use these products everyday. I know they work for me and also, I've realised that once I've used them I actually feel a bit better.

Lush Coalface Facial Soap
This soap, like the toner I'll mention later is something that I've been using on and off for a while but since I started having a bit more of a routine I've been quite consistent. I just we my face and apply it, it looks a bit scary because its colour but it works wonders.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Sensitive Skin
I'm being serious when I say I used to wash my face with hand soap to take my makeup off. But after some friends recommended this I've been using it everyday even if don't wear any makeup. I can't say it's my favourite micellar water out there because to be honest this is the only one I've tried.
It's quite refreshing and gentle and it works for me so I think I'll keep buying this one for now.

Lush Eau Roma Toner Water
I remember going to Lush and smelling this. It has lavender and rose water so not only smells good but just a few spritzes of this and I find it very soothing on my skin. I've been using it on and off for a few years but now it's staying for good.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
I'm not sure how I found this product but I started reading reviews and I caved. Now I love it. I just apply a few drops in the morning with my moisturiser and at first it leaves a sticky feeling but it goes away in seconds. It also lasts for ages, you only need a couple of drops every use because it's very watery, obviously, but that really helps with making your skin feel hydrated.

Indeed Laboratories Vitamin C24
I never heard about Indeed Labs before until one day at work I asked one of my colleagues, he's very much into skincare, if he knew of product that would help my skin look a bit more awake and he gave me this little tube of gold! I don't really use this one every single day, maybe every other day, and I use a tiny amount. Out of the tube looks like a regular cream, white and quite thick but once you apply it, it almost feels like it turns into dust. It's not wet at all and it sinks into your skin immediately. Also it leaved my face feeling super soft.

Nivea Lipbalm Original Care
Like it says, original. I've tried different brands, flavoured ones, everything but I always go back to this one. And also Vaseline Lip Therapy, the Aloe Vera version. They both work really well and I feel like I don't have to bee applying them every 10 minutes.

Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisture
I started using Simple when I moved to London because I couldn't get hold of the brand I used back in Spain and so far so good. I tried the Light Moisture version, because like I said I don't really like the feeling of having something sitting on my face. It feels really nice. Is it the best moisturiser in the world? Probably not but like I said with the rest of the products, it works for me. And it's not expensive at all.
I apply it after washing my face in the morning and evening and my face feels really nice.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum
I started using this around 4 year ago? I had some windburns on my nose, cheeks and chin so I went to the doctor and they gave me steroid cream. You can't use those for a long time so when I finished the treatment my face wasn't completely back to normal. I went to Kiehl's with a friend and they did some tests on my skin and then recommended this. I stopped using it for a while once I finished my first bottle but I'm on my second one now and loving it. Also you only need 3-4 drops so it will last you forever too.

And those are my favourites. I know I'm lacking on the SPF department but to be honest when it comes to that I'm a fan of sun cream.
What are your favourite products to use everyday? Do you change the products you use regularly or you like to stick to what you know?
