Mickey shaped butter biscuits for a Disney Day At Home | RECIPE

13/5/20

Today I bring something a bit different! A few weeks ago Brogan from BroganTatexo posted a video all about how to have a Disney Day At Home at that inspired me to create these super cute and super easy Mickey shaped butter biscuits dipped in chocolate.

These are super simple to make and require only 5 ingredients.

MICKEY SHAPED BUTTER BISCUITS

PREP. TIME  ||  COOK TIME
10 mins.               10 mins.

INGREDIENTS
- 75g unsalted butter (soft)
- 160g all purpose flour (plus some extra for dusting)
- 30g caster sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 30g chocolate of your choice (melted for dipping)

METHOD
- In a bowl beat together the soft butter and sugar for a minute. They just need to combine.
- Add the vanilla extract and salt.
- Mix in the flour until it starts to look like breadcrumbs.
- Dust some flour on your counter and get the dough out of the bowl.
- Knead the dough until it all comes together and it looks smooth and form it into a ball.
- Flatten the dough a bit with your hand and then using a rolling pin (or a wine bottle in my case), roll out the dough until it's half a centimetre thick.
- Using your cutter of choice, cut out the biscuits and place on your tray.
I used THIS Mickey shaped one .
- Bake between 7-10 minutes, depending on how hot your oven gets. Just make sure the biscuits don't get too brown, just lightly golden.
- Leave them too cool down and once that is done, melt your chocolate and get dipping!
- Place on a wire rack so the chocolate can drip and leave the biscuits to set.

This time I used milk chocolate but I'm sure white chocolate would be super tasty too. Also! I have an idea for next time I bake these... and it's to make them in a more Jammie Dodgers' style but I'll report back depending on how they hold together.

Like I said before, there are really quick and easy and even the little ones can help. I am sure they'll enjoy having a go at the dough and dipping the biscuits.

And finally, I'm leaving link to follow Brogan on social media so you can catch up on all her Disney adventures.
